We recommend that you make frequent backups and save them locally to your computer.
File backup:
To save the files you need to have an FTP account or access to the cPanel panel.
Navigate to the section where you installed SilverStripe and download all the files (if you have SilverStripe installed in another location, download the contents of the directory where it is installed)
Database backup:
- To save a database, access the cPanel administration panel
- Navigate to the Databases -> phpMyadmin section
- Select the database used by SilverStripe
- From the phpMyAdmin menu, select Export
- Then click Go
