1. Log into your cPanel
  2. Access "SSL/TLS Manager"; click on "Generate, view, upload, or delete your private keys"
  3. In the next page, locate Generate a New Certificate Signing Request (CSR); select "Generate a New 2048-bit key" in order to generate a new private key. The private key will be saved in cPanel and there is no need to save it.
  4. Click on "Return to SSL Manager" and then on "Generate, view, or delete SSL certificate signing requests"
  5. Fill in the following data in "Generate a New Certificate Signing Request" field:
    • Host: the fully qualified domain name on which the SSL will be activated (common name). For wildcard SSL 
    • Country: country where the company is registered
    • State: state/county in which the company is registered
    • City: the city where the company is registered
    • Company: The legal name of the company you represent
    • Department: Department name in the company
    • Email: the address where the CSR will be sent
    • Password: password associated with the certificate (do not forget to write it down)

6. Press the "Generate" button; the next page will show the newly generated CSR code. You may use it now in order to get the SSL certificate.
