In order to generate a CSR in Plesk 12 please follow the instructions below:

  1. Log in to the Plesk administration panel
  2. Navigate to the Websites & Domains tab
  3. Click on Secure Your Sites
  4. Click the Add SSL Certificate button
  5. In the next window, enter a name for the new certificate, then fill in the required fields
  6. Please make sure that you use an active email address like [email protected] (where domain-name.tld should be replaced with the domain name for which you want to issue the SSL certificate)
  7. Then click on the Request button
  8. A new entry will be added to the SSL certificate list; click on the new SSL record to view and copy the CSR
